ABOUT AMI:
Ami is a native Texan, currently resides in Colleyville with her husband, 2 teen sons, and their 11 yr old black lab. She has been active leader and volunteer in her church, including DivorceCare and Women's Mentoring Preparing for Marriage.
Ami desires to join people where
they are in their circumstances, trials, transitions of life, and offer counsel through the process of personal insight and transformation. She is passionate about serving people and wants them to experience freedom from harmful thoughts and behaviors. She has a heart for marriage, helping couples thrive in their relationship, not survive. Ami recognizes the significance of sexuality and believes God-created sexual beings. Healthy sexuality has been assaulted by shame, abuse, false beliefs, negative messages, lack of or misinformed education. She desires to direct people toward sexual freedom and wholeness.
EDUCATION:
Ami is a proud Texas Tech Red Raider with BS in Human Development and Family Studies and Minor in Addiction. She received a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and National Certified Counselor, under the supervision of Dr. Stephanie Thurston of New Solutions Counseling Center.
