Did you grow up in an environment with "Life" words that gave you wind beneath your wings? You were surrounded with encouragement, affirmation, and people embraced your uniqueness. Or was your experience the opposite and you had the wind knocked out of you through "Death" words? You were reprimanded for your differences, criticized, and told you were a failure or not good enough, either directly or indirectly. Both experiences develop your view of the world, circumstances, people, and God. Some may identify with growing up feeling unaccepted and something is innately wrong with you. However, you have encountered a person that has the opposite effect in your life. They may be a friend, co-worker, neighbor or someone that does not judge, they act loving, and speak encouragement into your life. They exhort you to be the person God has created you to be. It seems natural and easier to hear the negative critics in your life. The negative messages are constantly reinforced each time you fall short from your perspective and the positive messages are dismissed. I heard a story the other day about a woman that lives near a beautiful beach with lots of seagulls around feasting on the food God intended for them to. There is a Wal-mart store located not too far away. A group of seagulls choose to linger around this area, waiting for shoppers to toss them some leftovers from the nearby fast-food establishments. They live off of the garbage and refuse of others. The seagulls have lost their way from the beautiful sandy beach where there is healthy nourishment, and intended to live. If you are like these lost seagulls and are living off of the trash, the lies, and the harmful words. Get some help to identify the "Death" in your life that keeps you imprisoned and from your destiny. Distance yourself from those that have the negative influence in your life and increase time with positive relationships. Change your negative thinking pattern by choosing  and receiving the "Life" words that empower you and give you the confidence to achieve anything. God wants to help and guide you to claim the truth for your life and live in the beautiful place of peace and freedom to be who you are.
